Something you don't see everyday

We missed you

Well, after spending months with you, you both took leave of us. We missed you so much that we went to the zoo, and there we found you.

He might have a tough exterior, but we all know he is all warm and squishy inside.

He may spit and be kinda gross and hairy at times, but he is a great hump to lean on when you need one.

And last, since you weren't able to see any longhorns on our trip through Texas, I'll show you these burly beasts, here.

Cellphone Cook

Cellphones are gonna kill you!! Next they'll pop your brain! HA HA HA

Huge Hefner of Women

Last night we ate at O'Charley's, and our server when she saw us exclaimed, "Are you the Hugh Hefner for women, that you have these three good-looking guys?"

How to make Pisco Sour for Dummies!!!

Andres, a friend of Juan's wishes a personal space here, and it's from his adventures of making us the traditional original Chilean Pisco Sour!!! ...Here's the receipe:
Cut the lemons in half.

Squeeze the lemons...(hopefully with an electric squeezer)

HATE JUAN...(Dr.Evil laugh)

Get a spoon...

Add sugar...

Throw the squeezed limes in the trash...you will NOT need them.

Now time to pour Pisco, and don't be scared...be GENEROUS!!!

Add A LOT of Ice, so none will realize the "EXCESSIVE" Pisco
(It's all part of the Juan-Hating plan)!

And it's ready to Rock n' Roll

Add 1 egg white...believe you me...it won't be disgusting!

BEAT IT BABY!!!

Taste it...(HATE JUAN)

If needed, fix it with more sugar or ice.

Pour it in Baby!!!!

Cover the brim of the glasses with first lemon, than dip in sugar.

Pour first the foam into the glasses, than the liquid part...and...

And...VOILA!!!!

What Juan does next is...he drinks it...

...And drinks it...(realizes Pisco Sour is indeed Chilean)

...and lights OFF!

NUEVA JORK

So here is the late post of our visit to New York on the 9th of this month.

Fitting the Empire State in a single frame took a short moment.

If they put statues of Arabs in NY.

We took a ferry to Liberty & Ellis island.

Proof I was in New York.

Old Chilean money from the immigrations to the States.

What most of the Streets looked like in the part of town we were in.

Our welcome into Central Park.

Stupid squirrel would jump towards the things Turtle would throw at him instead of run away.

And that concludes our mini "vacation".

MEGA Hiking, or something like it...

Sunday morning, wake up at 7:00 (major achievement for me) to start the "hike" at 8:00. Little did they tell us we'd be climbing snow slopes!

Fabulous scenery!!! And no pollution out there!!!

Being that I thought we'd be hiking, I went in tennis shoes. Everyone was asking me: "are your feet frozen yet?"

Me, the pup and the guys up at our "almost top". Check out the pollution and the smog over Santiago down bellow in the back!

Half way up the mountain. So much for a "hike"...in the back you can see a bit of Santiago down in the valley.

Always in the snow, always getting toes frozen but always having the time of a life!!!

At one point of the climb, the guys told me a plane crashed there about 10 years ago, (we were pretty HIGH up, freeeezing by the way!) what they made me hold for the "happy" photo is a piece of the shattered plane.

This one is for my little brother Jonathan and all our "inner" jokes on "you-don't-wanna-know-what!".

Getting the track up the mountain. After this point it was so muddy, you could carry more than a kg under each shoe sole.

We went in a group of like 30 people...here are some of them trying to figure out where they went wrong on the tracks...hehehe (but we weren't lost)

Look at the size of these things!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!

WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe he got a signal up there???? This was almost at the snow part of the climb and he was happily chit-chatting on the cell!
Anyway, we left for the peak at 8:00am and arrived there at 1:00pm. I arrived home falling to pieces at 5:00pm...managed to cook our special dinner for our visitors (lazanha), and still made it to the movies with the guys that night!

Argentina vs USA

Here are some photos of the game at the Giants Stadium on the 8th.

"The third most attendance in US soccer history. 79,000 people."

Where I wanted to be.

Some Argentine fans

This little guy ran out in the field during halftime, with five fat security guards hot on his tail. He most likely got kicked out of the stadium.

A few photos of the game.

Coming soon...
