MEGA Hiking, or something like it...

Sunday morning, wake up at 7:00 (major achievement for me) to start the "hike" at 8:00. Little did they tell us we'd be climbing snow slopes!

Fabulous scenery!!! And no pollution out there!!!

Being that I thought we'd be hiking, I went in tennis shoes. Everyone was asking me: "are your feet frozen yet?"

Me, the pup and the guys up at our "almost top". Check out the pollution and the smog over Santiago down bellow in the back!

Half way up the mountain. So much for a "hike"...in the back you can see a bit of Santiago down in the valley.

Always in the snow, always getting toes frozen but always having the time of a life!!!

At one point of the climb, the guys told me a plane crashed there about 10 years ago, (we were pretty HIGH up, freeeezing by the way!) what they made me hold for the "happy" photo is a piece of the shattered plane.

This one is for my little brother Jonathan and all our "inner" jokes on "you-don't-wanna-know-what!".

Getting the track up the mountain. After this point it was so muddy, you could carry more than a kg under each shoe sole.

We went in a group of like 30 people...here are some of them trying to figure out where they went wrong on the tracks...hehehe (but we weren't lost)

Look at the size of these things!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!

WORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe he got a signal up there???? This was almost at the snow part of the climb and he was happily chit-chatting on the cell!
Anyway, we left for the peak at 8:00am and arrived there at 1:00pm. I arrived home falling to pieces at 5:00pm...managed to cook our special dinner for our visitors (lazanha), and still made it to the movies with the guys that night!
