Across the Andes on our 1st Visa Trip!
Angela and I took off for our first Visa trip and due to Gabe's visit, it lasted no more than 36 hours. It was a quick hop to Mendoza, spend the night and be back late afternoon the next day.
So the best thing we got to really enjoy was the Andes and ALL THAT SNOW!!! Soooooo cold!!!
Here are some photos right at the border and as you can see we were far more distracted with the snow then getting our papers checked...heh!
A snap shot of Angie running around the border because they didn't grant her entrance! - Joke. She was just trying to get away with standing being that it was so slippery and wet.
Prosaic snow shot...
MEGA SNOW BALL
Being that it was Angie's first time on the snow, I wanted to give her a warm (cold) welcome to it, by throwing the biggest snow ball around. Fortunately, she caught me and ruined the plan."It's so cold!!!" Angela's ever first contact with snow! I'm not sure she liked it too much though...
It was a great trip nonetheless and us girls had lots of fun. We met new people and got to see old friends that I hadn't seen in years! Too bad it was so short. Looking forward to the next trip!

A little going away celebration...
Last night, for Pablo's last night in Chile, Pablo, Gabe (Mima's bf), Mima and Vi met up for dinner at Los Buenos Muchachos. There were presentations going on as you ate, and every once in a while, they'd pick people out to dance with them. Mima and I got to see the traditional Chilean dance "Cueca" and some other ones as well. But we all have to agree that the best part of it all was when the dancing from "Isla de Pascua" (Easter Island) began and one of the dancers came and dragged Pablo out onto the stage. We all know Pablo's lovely dance and it was hilarious to see him try to keep up with it while the girls shook their booties at him.
Here's for a closer shot at his expression! Hilarious & Unforgettable!----We will miss you Pablo! (hope you have a comfortable and safe trip)

Tennis
So our soccer stars got into a new sport.
We have tennis rackets in the back of the car, and have stopped to play on different fields numerous times. Here are two pictures of a mini - tournament.

Zaldi Te Quiero !!!

Zaldi me encanta cuando te excitas con tu equipo, pero me entristece cuando sufres por la falta de victoria de river. Mi consejo como amigo es el siguiente, volved con papa!! te acojemos devuelta como el hijo prodigo que sos..

Congratulations Angieeeeee!!!!
After a lot of research, a lot of head-breaking moments and doubts (on her part)...Angela Basurto surprised us all with wonderfully home-made curtains, which now grace our living room and make it so much cozier.
Just a big warm thank you for your efforts, time and talents. You've got it in ya!!! Congrats, darling!!!

My personal pet
My favorite little Turtle (aka. Leche or Danny), is now my slave.
Yes, you read that right, my slave.
He bet that his team would win the soccer game they had today, but even though it really looked that way (they were ahead by two goals the entire game), sadly, as he is not on the field the entire game, they have to let other people play as well as per game rules, and at the very end lost by one goal. He bet his life. Which is now mine.
Anyone want to marry him? Of course you have to pay me though.
Nicole, I'll give you a good price ;)
Ok, so supposedly it didn't count because they played in the wrong field and one of the players was missing, but still....

Men & Soccer...and then of course, Nata!
Just another lovely evening at Parque Arauco watching the boys as they merrily play by. (such a gay sentence...the boys are gonna kill me)Jasper/Freddie here seems a bit confused or bored. Apparently the other team sucked so bad that Juna had nothing better to do other than stand around looking pretty, hoping they'd have a chance at arriving to the goal so he could have some action. And so it was, and the other sucky team did score goal 5 minutes after this shot.
Here we see a snapshot of Nata and his usual soccer rituals. Juanma seems to be running for his life while his brother is caught helpless?
Nata, Danny and other dirty miscreants I need not name. I have to say, that afternoon watching the boys play was pretty hilarious. Nata always gets overly excited when he's two meters away from making a goal and tends to put exaggeratedly too much emphasis on his kicks or head throws and usually misses it by sending the ball waaaaay over the goal. He does tend to be the most eccentric person in the field (and out?). We love you, G-d bless you Nata!! haha

To be a mother...
Sam and Danny, our home wants to congratulate you for bringing into this world one more life, one more heart. May G-d bless your family and bring nothing but sheer joy to the lives of you three.
Sam, I can't forget to mention what a beautiful baby girl you have, next time she comes to visit we'll kidnap her. hehehe. ---Please still come visit??
A mother's love determines how we love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see not lit by that first love.
Stripped of love, the universe would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world that greets our cries with joy.
Sam, congratulations on fulfilling women's highest calling, you are a mother!
