The Trip, Part 1.

From beginning to the end.
First off, we left Santiago at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, the 26th of March.

This was our bus.

After passing La Serena, Chile, the landscape was nothing but desert.

We arrived in Arica, Chile, at 9:30 a.m. Friday, the 28th of March.
We crossed into Peru cramped in a car with two strangers and our driver. Poor Danny was squished next to a stinky passenger in the backseat. The time at the border crossing and driving to the next city took about 2 1/2 hours and we arrived in the city of Tacna, Peru.

After 32 hours of cookies and juice, we quickly bought our tickets and went to find FOOOOOD, glorious FOOD. We ate good.

Peru, ripped off the name of Chilean Cristal Beer.

Then walked around being good little tourists.

The next part of our trip started at 2:30 p.m. that same afternoon. The beginning of torture and frustration.

These music videos were blasting the whole trip besides once when they turned on a movie. And the worst of it was that the passengers directly behind us were of poor hearing and pleading with our hostess to raise the volume, which she did... My ipod could not blast loud enough to drown out the sounds of pure torture to my ears.
Never before in my life had I been so happy to listen to a poorly dubbed movie!
We arrived in Lima at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the 29th of March. Which made our bus riding time to 55 hours, oh joy!

Hello again!! Ok, nice try Pablo but noticing the beginning, like you suggested, this is what I found: The real name is Colcabamba, not Cochabamba. And looking it up in this site: http://colcabamba.com/, it states that that is territory of Peru. "Colcabamba in Department of Huancavelica, Peru"
Now don't try to throw your culture to the Bolivians, own it!
I understand the embarrassment, but hey...it's your shine!
And that's the way the cookie crumbles!
